Getting started

Open the app from Apps in your Shopify admin. On its first visit, the Design Board reads your live theme's colours, fonts and buttons. Change anything there; your edits are used for every page you build.
Go to Pages, paste the link to a Shopify page whose layout you like, choose the theme, and pick a style: your theme's style, or exactly like the source page.
Click Build page. You can leave the screen while it builds. When it's ready, click Open in theme editor to change text and add images.
To show it in your store, go to Online Store › Pages, open or add a page, and choose the new template under Theme template.

Common questions

Does the app copy the other page's text and images?

No. It copies the layout and, if you choose, the visual style. Text is written for your store and images are placeholders you replace with your own.

Will it change my existing theme files?

No. It only adds new files, named starting with page.tb-, tb- and _tb, and refuses to write if a file with the same name already exists.

A page failed to build. Was I charged?

No. A page that fails doesn't count toward your plan. Use Try again on the Pages screen.

Can I build into a theme that isn't published?

Yes, on the Pro and Agency plans. Free and Starter build into your published theme.

How do I change or cancel my plan?

Open Plan in the app to switch plans or buy a page pack. To stop billing, choose Free there or uninstall the app.

Removing the app and its files

Pages built by the app are ordinary theme files, so they keep working if you uninstall the app. If you want them gone too, remove them before uninstalling: once the app is uninstalled, Shopify no longer lets it change your theme.

From the app (recommended)

To remove one page: Pages › Remove from theme next to it.
To remove everything: Settings › Remove what Page Builder added. This deletes every file the app added, in every theme.

By hand, if you already uninstalled

In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store › Pages and switch any page using a template that starts with tb- back to the default template.
Go to Online Store › Themes, click … next to the theme, then Edit code.
Delete the files starting with page.tb- in Templates, tb- in Sections, and _tb in Blocks.
Repeat for each theme the app built pages in.
